* The final cost of any tax return depends on the number of forms used and the level of difficulty of the return. Stock transactions, rental properties, business activities, dividends, etc., (if the client has such items) are in addition to the basic cost of a return. Business clients without a clear set of books “shoe box accounts” will be required to either put their books “in clear form” or have us do so at our regular hourly rate. We cannot quote the final cost of any tax return without reviewing all the data that will go into it. If you have a business, the IRS and state tax authorities require you to have a understandable set of books (not just a checkbook), accounting for all revenues and expenses of the business. We do not prepare “state only” returns. New clients not known to us must provide valid proof of identification via governmental issued identification and, Social Security Cards. Resident and Nonresident Aliens, in addition to ID, must provide valid INS identification
